ROLE OVERVIEW:

  • The Customer & Technical Services Specialist will have responsibility for processing orders, answering customer service queries, and providing front line technical support for Oxford Genetics products and services
  • You must be able to speak technically to ensure that the needs of the customer are understood and that solutions can be communicated effectively 
  • You will also provide support for the commercial team with product information, availability and pricing
  • This role will be based in our office in Oxford and thus allow you direct access to our technical and operational teams to enable you to be effective

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will be required to provide a professional, efficient and reliable first point of contact for all customers
  • You will strive to maximise and create demand for Oxford Genetics products and services, and achieve excellent customer satisfaction at all times
  • You will utilise system and technical knowledge to answer questions effectively and in a timely fashion
  • You will cultivate a strong working relationship with commercial, technical and operational teams
  • You will manage customer data in the company CRM

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in in Biological Sciences essential (minimum class 2:1)
  • Experience working in customer or technical services would be an advantage
  • Experience working with a CRM desirable

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Outstanding oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of personality types
  • Ability to quickly understand highly technical concepts and then explain these and their benefits to others
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook applications
